Jesus is coming soon!
The current events of this world are no coincidence (wars, famines, distress, earthquakes, major weather events, etc), but are prophesied in God's Word! With these events comes the promise of the Son of God, Jesus Christ catching away His people in an event known as the rapture! This event will mark the beginning of another event called the great tribulation which will be a time of great trouble that this world has never known. The only way to escape the things that are to come is to prepare for the rapture! Claiming Christianity and attending a church alone does not make one ready for the rapture! God's Word tells us what to do to be ready!
(Scriptural references are from the King James Version of the Bible)
Luke 21:34-36 and Mark 13:32-37 1) Take heed to yourselves (pay attention to yourself) a) Surfeiting (over doing something) b) Drunkenness (overcome with something) c) Cares of this life (worrying about something) 2) Watch (keep awake, spiritually) 3) Pray always (cry out, plead, beg) 2 Timothy 4:6-8 4) Love His appearing (long for His appearing) These are necessary steps to take in order to be ready! Are you getting ready? 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17 states, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." The word remain means to be overflowing. An overflowing relationship with Jesus Christ will allow one to be ready for the rapture! An overflowing relationship will allow one to take heed to their lives so that they will not be overcome with surfeiting, drunkenness, and the cares of this life. It will allow one to watch or be spiritually awake. An overflowing relationship with Jesus will allow one to always pray or be in constant communion with Jesus. It will also allow one to love or long for the appearing of their Savior. Is your life a reflection of one who is preparing for the rapture? 1) Are you taking heed or are you so caught up and overcome in the cares of this life and self indulgence that you are not doing all you should to be ready? 2) Are you watching? Mark 13:32-37 tells us that if we are not watching we will miss Him. 3) Are you praying always? Jesus is only coming back for those who are. 4) Are you loving His appearing? This is proof to Him that we are more in love with Him than this world and that we want to go with Him.
You are encouraged to take heed to what the Word of God and the Spirit of God is telling you. If you are a Christian, please let the Lord begin to work these things into your life. If you do not know Jesus, please except Him and His plan for your life today. If you have any questions or would like to know more about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please contact us!
