We just had a wonderful convention in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  The Word of God that was shared was beyond description

We learned about the Sabbath Day, which is Jesus Christ.

We also, learned more about the Law or the Ten Commandments, which are as follows:

"And God spake all these things saying..."

1) I am the LORD thy God

2) Thou shalt have no other gods before me

3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain

4) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy

5) Honor thy father and mother

6) Thou shalt not kill

7) Thou shalt not commit adultery

8) Thou shalt not steal

9) Thou shalt not bear false witness

10) Thou shalt not covet

Fallen Lucifer (Satan, Devil, Serpent, and Dragon) has been successful in deceiving the world into taking out the beginning commandment, "I am the LORD thy God".  The second commandment is "Thou shalt have no other God's before me" which includes "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" and "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them".  As seen in the Garden of Eden in Genesis chapter 3, from the beginning until now fallen Lucifer has taken away from and added to the Word of God.

We must be careful to rightly divide the Word of God, lest we write our own law.

The first commandment is "I am the LORD thy God"!

The LORD has been blessing us with wonderful Word.

For the past couple of weeks, we have been studying out of Matthew 11:28-30.

Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Jesus is implying that we stop doing something and take His rest. So often, we labor in areas that we should not labor. We become heavy laden or burdened down when we try to do the things that only Jesus can do.

The word "yoke" means discipline. The word "learn" means to practice. Jesus was saying take my discipline upon you and practice being like me. Jesus goes on to tell us what we are to be like, "[F]or I am meek and lowly in heart". Jesus is humble. Philippians 2:5-8 tells us that the mind of Christ is to be humble. Jesus was telling us that to find the rest that is in Him, we are to be like Him and humble ourselves. It takes true humility to let God be who He is and do what He must do in our lives. Jesus goes on to say that when you do this, "[Y]e shall find rest unto your souls".

I have realized in a greater way that, when I am burdened down or "burned out", I have been taking on the burdens and the tasks that belong to the shoulders of Jesus. After all, Jesus said that He would never put on us more than we can bear. If I have more on me than I can bear, than I must come to Him and find His rest.

"LORD teach us to walk in humility and let the government be upon your shoulders."
